Baqaei says no negotiations with the US will be held in the coming days

Ismail Baqaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that in the coming days, there will be no negotiation meetings at any level with the American side.

He emphasized that the Iranian delegation’s trip to Doha is not related to the American representatives’ visit to Qatar and said that this delegation is traveling to Doha to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including Article 11.

These statements came after Donald Trump claimed that the Iranian negotiating team would meet with American representatives in Doha on Tuesday at Tehran’s request. The White House also announced that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would be present at this meeting.

Previously, Kazem Gharibabadi, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and head of the Iranian technical negotiating team, had said that no meetings between the Iranian and American technical working groups were scheduled for this week.
