Behind the scenes of the rent-seeking network in Jam Petrochemical: From the transfer of sensitive information to $800 million contracts
One of the actions taken by the Economic Security Police in recent days has been to combat the pathways for transferring sensitive information from petrochemicals and networks that are said to seek rent and economic benefits by pressuring managers.
In this regard, received information indicates that despite the necessity of dismissing Amin Hajidolu, the public relations manager of Jam Petrochemical, for security reasons, Amir Akbari, the CEO of this company, has prevented this action. This claim requires investigation and an official response.
A few days ago, I also warned that security and oversight agencies should target individuals who are said to possess videos of managers and might use them to exert pressure.
However, the Jam Petrochemical story has other dimensions. Received reports suggest suspicions of nepotistic hiring and networked connections between some companies holding tenders and the management of this company.
One of the most significant cases is the Petro Fan Asia company, which is said to play a role in holding tenders for Jam Petrochemical and is owned by Amir Akbari’s relatives. The validity of this ownership connection and the potential conflict of interest must be examined.
A more important case involves contracts worth approximately $800 million that have been awarded to Arvin company. I will publish more information about the potential violations in the way these contracts were awarded and the role of decision-makers.
Another noteworthy point is the claim by some managers about creating a safe zone by hiring relatives of individuals connected to security agencies. If such claims are true, the issue goes beyond managerial misconduct and implies potential misuse of influence within the oversight structure.
If these claims are false, why is there no action against those who create immunity for themselves under the name of security agencies, and if they are true, who is accountable for this network of relationships and benefits?
Oversight agencies must clarify who has benefited from the contracts, tenders, and sensitive information of Jam Petrochemical and why the potential relationships between managers, their relatives, and contracting companies remain ambiguous.
This case continues.
