Joe Biden’s ironclad support for Israel against Iran’s attack
The President of the United States, referring to Iran’s threat of significant attacks on Israel, said, ‘As I have told Prime Minister Netanyahu, our commitment to Israel’s security against Iran’s threats and its proxy groups is ironclad.’
Joe Biden’s remarks come as Washington is at odds with Israel over the management of the Gaza conflict and Israel’s potential attack on Rafah in southern Gaza.
On the other hand, an informed source who preferred to remain anonymous said that Brett McGurk, the U.S. representative for Middle East affairs, contacted the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iraq, asking them to convey a message to Iran emphasizing the need to reduce tensions with Israel.
