Borrell Strongly Condemns Israel's Revocation of Norwegian Diplomats' Accreditations

Borrell strongly condemned Israel’s revocation of Norwegian diplomats’ accreditation.

In statements released by Borrell’s office, it was mentioned that the EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs had a telephone conversation with the Norwegian Foreign Minister after the cancellation of the Norwegian diplomats’ accreditation in Israel.

Borrell wrote in the statement that he strongly condemns this unfair decision, which undermines normal relations and cooperation with the Palestinian government.

Josep Borrell wrote in a tweet that after this conversation, the EU’s official position on this matter was conveyed to the authorities of Israel through the EU’s diplomatic representation in Israel.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not accept the accreditation of Norwegian diplomatic representatives on Friday due to Oslo’s recognition of Palestine as a state on May 28 of this year.
