Brigitte Macron has appealed to the Supreme Court against the acquittal of two women who accused her of being a man.
After two French women were acquitted by the Paris Court of Appeal of spreading rumors and falsehoods about Brigitte Macron being a man, the lawyer for the First Lady of France announced an appeal against this ruling in the country’s Supreme Court.
On Thursday, the Paris Court of Appeal issued a ruling acquitting Natasha Rey and Amandine Roy, two women who challenged Brigitte’s gender on Facebook and claimed she was a man, of defamation charges.
Previously, a lower court had found these two individuals guilty of the same charge and had sentenced them.
