The UK prepares for potential mine-clearing in the Strait of Hormuz

The Associated Press reported that hundreds of British sailors aboard the support ship Lyme Bay, stationed off the coast of Gibraltar, are awaiting possible deployment for a mine-clearing mission in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to this report, the Royal Navy is preparing for this operation, but its execution depends on reaching a peace agreement between the US and Iran.

The Associated Press states that the ship Lyme Bay will soon leave Gibraltar to join the destroyer HMS Dragon and other allied vessels, and after receiving air support through the Suez Canal, it will head to the Persian Gulf.
