Overturned bus carrying students in Kerman with 6 dead

Iranian media have reported that this incident occurred on Thursday, February 7th, at 18:30 local time at the Sirch junction. Images from the scene and the efforts of rescuers have also been published.

Mohammad Saberi, head of Kerman’s emergency services, says that in this incident, 4 female students, a young boy, and a coach were killed, and 27 injured have been transferred to medical centers.

According to him, the condition of two of the injured has been reported as critical.

Mohammad Amirkhani, deputy of the Red Crescent in Kerman, has stated that the number of injured in this accident is 35.

Ahmad Karami Asad, head of the traffic police of Faraja, also stated that this bus was carrying 38 high school students who were returning to Kerman from a trip to the tourist area of Shahdad.

He has said that the cause of the accident is still unknown and investigations into this incident are ongoing.
