Cars above 3 billion are subject to tax

Vehicles over 3 billion Tomans will be subject to taxation.

The Iranian government presented the budget bill for the next year to the parliament yesterday, Thursday, November 21st, which has been published by Iranian media outlets.

According to this bill, a 1% tax is considered for vehicles over 3 billion Tomans.

Owners of these vehicles must pay a 1% tax on the excess amount of 3 billion Tomans.

According to this bill, the transfer of vehicles with tax debts is prohibited in official registration offices.

The deadline for paying this tax has been announced as the end of Bahman month, 1403 (February 2025).

In recent years, the Iranian government has emphasized increasing tax revenues to compensate for budget deficits.
