Cars valued over 3 billion will be subject to taxation

The Iranian government presented the budget bill for the next year to the parliament yesterday, Tuesday, November 21st, and parts of it have been published by Iranian media

According to this bill, a 1% tax is considered for cars valued over 3 billion tomans

Owners of these cars must pay a 1% tax on the excess amount over three billion tomans

Based on this bill, the transfer of cars with tax debts is prohibited in official notary offices

The deadline for paying this tax has been announced as no later than the end of February 2025

In recent years, the Iranian government has emphasized increasing tax revenues to compensate for budget deficits
