CENTCOM reports the start of attacks on IRGC targets in Iran
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that attacks on IRGC targets in Iran began at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 31, Eastern Time, which corresponds to 7:30 PM Iranian time.
CENTCOM described these attacks as a response to what it called the IRGC’s recent attempt to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz and American forces in the region.
The command has not released details about the location of the targets; however, Iranian media had previously reported hearing explosions in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Jask, Sirik, Konarak, and Chabahar. The connection between these explosions and the announced attacks has not been clarified in the provided report.
