The CENTCOM commander left the Middle East after visiting six countries and the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), concluded his regional trip after a 10-day tour and meetings with officials from six countries.
During this trip, Cooper visited Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and met with senior military and civilian officials of these countries as well as American forces stationed in the region. Over 50,000 American military personnel are present in the Middle East.
The CENTCOM commander also visited the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which operates in the Arabian Sea, for the second time this year. He told the crew of this carrier that the Lincoln Strike Group is a powerful team of hardworking and successful Americans who proudly and confidently boast of their achievements. This deployment will be recorded in history as one of the most intense and decisive operational periods of the modern era.
The Abraham Lincoln Strike Group has been stationed in the Middle East since January and has conducted thousands of combat flights as part of Operation Epic Fury against Iran, regional security missions, and the U.S. maritime blockade against Iran.
