A ceremony honoring the Iranian head coach and national futsal team of Afghanistan was held in Mashhad.

The ceremony honoring the Iranian head coach and national futsal team of Afghanistan in Mashhad was attended by members of the Afghan consulate.

Under the guidance of Majid Mortezaie, this team made a remarkable performance in the Asian Futsal Championship and secured a spot for the first time in the World Cup. Mortezaie stated that despite receiving offers, he is not willing to separate from the Afghan national team.

During the ceremony, the local coach of this team from Mashhad was also wearing Afghan traditional attire. An Afghan merchant donated 20,000 Afghanis as a reward to be distributed among the team’s supervisor and head coach.

The virtual media of the Afghan national futsal team wrote, ‘I hope this initiative serves as a motivation for other investors in the country whose money goes to waste, so that such achievements are not forgotten.’

Previously, a ceremony was also held by the Foreign Nationals Affairs Department of Tehran Province for the members of the Afghan national futsal team.
