Chinese Foreign Minister: The world should not return to the law of the jungle

In response to recent developments in the Middle East, the Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized that the war in this region should not have happened and urged the involved parties to return to negotiations. He also warned that the world cannot revert to the law of the jungle.

On Sunday, Wang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister, told reporters about the recent developments in the Middle East, stating that continuing the conflicts benefits no one and a political solution should replace it.

Referring to the recent wars in the region, he stated that this conflict benefits no one and called on all involved parties to return to the negotiating table.

According to the Guardian newspaper, this senior Chinese official criticized last week’s developments in the Middle East while adopting a conciliatory approach towards the United States in his statements, a stance that comes ahead of Donald Trump’s meeting with the Chinese president.

Wang Yi also commented on the possibility of regime change in Iran, saying such an action would never have popular support. He further emphasized that a strong fist does not mean a strong mind, and the world cannot return to the law of the jungle.

According to a CNN report, the Chinese Foreign Minister went on to describe his country as the most important force for peace, stability, and justice in the world and urged other countries to support an immediate ceasefire to prevent the escalation and spread of war flames.
