The sealing of the Central Book City in Tehran due to hijab

The Book City page has reported the sealing of its central branch, stating that this sealing was ordered by the Public Places Administration.

In this regard, ‘Shargh’ wrote that today at noon, Tehran’s Public Places Police sealed the Central Book City due to what was described as non-compliance with trade and Ministry of Interior regulations.

Today, around 12 noon, officers from Tehran’s Public Places Police visited the Central Book City in Tehran and proceeded to seal this center. The reason for this action, as it appears, was cited as non-compliance with trade regulations and Ministry of Interior directives; however, the officers’ report noted the presence of unveiled customers at this location as the reason for sealing the Central Book City.
