Coca-Cola executive: Due to Trump’s tariffs, we might use more plastic
Coca-Cola says the new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration might force the company to use more plastic.
James Quincey, the CEO of Coca-Cola, told investors that if Donald Trump’s tariffs make aluminum cans more expensive, the company might have to use plastic bottles more extensively to distribute its products in the U.S.
According to Donald Trump’s order, all imported steel and aluminum to the U.S. are subject to a 25% tariff, an action that could lead to increased prices of beverages and canned foods in the country.
