Continuation of unprecedented foreign exchange rates
The selling rate of the US dollar in the Tehran free market increased by nearly 2,650 tomans during the past five working days of the previous week, reaching an unprecedented rate of 47,680 tomans at the end of Friday’s transactions. This rate was 26,300 tomans in the previous month of Farvardin.
The continued rise in foreign exchange rates in the Iranian market led to a record-breaking price of 27,600,000 tomans for each gold coin in the Tehran market, despite a $690 decrease in the global price of an ounce of gold, which reached $18,2940. The transaction rate for each gram of 18-carat gold also exceeded 2,200,000 tomans.
