Controversial Claim by a Member of Parliament: Molana Does Not Have a Single Line of Persian Poetry

Alireza Monadi, the representative of Tabriz and the head of the Education Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, made a controversial claim at the Shahriar commemoration ceremony in Tabriz.

He said that Molavi does not have a single line of Persian poetry and added that everything Molavi had was from Shams Tabrizi, thereby considering him a follower of the Tabriz school of thought.

These remarks were made in the presence of guests from Turkey and quickly gained widespread attention in the media and on social networks.
