The Council for Organizing Protests of Oil Contract Workers: We are going on strike in protest of the executions.

In response to the executions of Mohsen Shekari and Majidreza Rahnavard, the Council for Organizing Protests of Oil Contract Workers announced the start of a protest strike by official colleagues in the coming days.

In the council’s statement, it is mentioned that official colleagues have called for a large and nationwide protest gathering on December 17. Other colleagues in petro refineries have called for a strike on December 24, 25, and 26.

The statement claims that this government’s action is akin to drawing a sword against all the people, including us workers.

This action means silencing any voice protesting against poverty, lack of rights, hunger, plunder, and looting.

It means silencing the voice of people who shout ‘Woman, Life, Freedom.’ Therefore, there is no room for hesitation anymore. These executions and the threat of death to our dear ones who are detained are a protest of all of us, the people.

This crime is so heinous that even within the regime, there is conflict and dispute. We can no longer endure these repressions.
