The Council of Governors approved a resolution against the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.
Reuters news agency, citing diplomats present at the closed-door meeting of the Council of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, reported that a resolution condemning the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program was passed.
According to the report, the Council of Governors of the United Nations organization, consisting of 35 countries, by approving this resolution, demanded that the Islamic Republic increase its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and lift the recent ban on the agency’s chief inspectors visiting nuclear sites in Iran.
The draft of this resolution was prepared and presented by the three countries of Britain, France, and Germany. According to Reuters sources, this condemnation resolution was approved with 20 in favor, 2 against, and 12 abstentions.
