Cutting of Several Trees in the Saadabad Complex

Following the incident of tree cutting on Italy Street in Tehran, which was denied by the municipality, the Salamat News website reports the cutting of several trees in the Saadabad Complex in this city.

This website, by publishing images of the cut trees in the historical Saadabad Complex in northern Tehran, stated that the number of these trees was not small.

A few years ago, several trees in the Saadabad Complex in Tehran were also cut down to build a restaurant gallery, and cultural heritage officials justified this act by saying that the mentioned trees were nuisance and pest-infested Ailanthus altissima.

In recent days, the publication of images of at least four trees being cut down on Italy Street in Tehran has sparked widespread criticism on social media.

The Saadabad Cultural and Historical Complex, with an area of over 110 hectares in the north of Tehran, contains several hectares of natural forest, qanat, garden, greenhouse, and streets.
