Russia’s deadly missile attack on Ukraine with ballistic missiles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says two Russian ballistic missiles hit a military training center and the adjacent hospital in a region in central-eastern Ukraine, resulting in at least 41 deaths and injuring 180 others.

Ukrainian officials say the attack occurred in the city of Poltava, located about 350 kilometers southeast of Kyiv. This city is situated on the main highway and railway route between Kyiv and Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, which is close to the Russian border.
