Decrease in Foreign Travel During Nowruz Due to Currency Exchange Rates

Travel agencies in Iran have stated that due to the increase in exchange rates, the number of foreign trips during Nowruz 2023 has decreased.

ISNA news agency reports that the demand for foreign travel is even less than during Nowruz 2022.

Owners of these travel agencies say that with the significant increase in currency prices, traveling in general and especially foreign travel has lost its justification for most people.

The report states that despite the recent earthquake, Turkey is considered one of the most popular foreign travel destinations for Iranians during Nowruz 2023.

Travel agencies say that the situation with domestic travel is not very satisfactory either.
