Democrats Rally to Save Harris

Democratic mobilization for Harris rescue

Democratic Party reception

The Democratic mobilization for the rescue of Harris at the Chicago Convention turns into a great display of support from Democratic elites for Kamala Harris. Obama and Clinton endorsements while Trump studies counteractions.

In America, names, especially in politics, are important. The Democratic Party leadership, who has gathered their prominent aristocratic families at the current national convention in Chicago to increase Kamala Harris’s popularity by leveraging them, knows this well.

On the evening of Tuesday, August 20, former US President Barack Obama, along with his First Lady Michelle, who reinterpreted his old campaign slogan ‘Yes We Can’ with a reference to Harris as ‘Yes She Can,’ took to the stage in Illinois.

Both expressed their full support for Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who has been nominated for Vice President.

Before them, Hillary Clinton, the former first lady during her husband Bill’s presidency and the Secretary of State during Obama’s administration, spoke and supported Kamala Harris, the slogan ‘The future is here.’ Donald Trump, the Republican presidential rival, closely followed the convention from afar and tried to draw attention by introducing potential future government members like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk.

All for Kamala.

The presence of Barack and Michelle Obama, two of the most popular faces of the Democratic Party, excited the representatives at the party convention in Chicago.

The phrase ‘excited’ was used by many US media outlets, including CNN and The Washington Post, to describe one of the most anticipated speeches at the convention following Joe Biden’s long and moving acceptance speech on Tuesday night.

The Obamas said they felt the same excitement and hope that marked their appearance at the White House and now all that energy and emotions are directed towards Kamala Harris.

Most of us, in agreement, do not want to live in a bitter and divided country.

We don’t need four more years of rumors and chaos. Referring to Trump, they added that we’ve seen this movie before, and we all know the sequel is usually worse.

As we know, only a few people have as much influence on the Democratic base as Michelle Obama.

When the former First Lady took the stage in her hometown, she received one of the longest and loudest cheers of the entire convention. By echoing the theme of her husband’s 2008 presidential campaign, she said hope is making a comeback.

Names are so important.

After Hillary Clinton, it was Bill’s turn at the gathering, where the voice of another former president endorsing the duo of Harris and Biden was heard.

Therefore, the Chicago event shows that political dynasties still play a significant role in ensuring stability and power in the United States.

From the very beginning, at the dawn of American history, it was like this: the second president, John Adams, came from families known as the Boston Brahmins or the elite of Boston, the Protestant elite of New England, who still have close ties to European matrices, including families like the Cabots, Appletons, Lowells, Sedgwicks, and so on. Boston is an old good place where it was said at that time, ‘A place where the Lowells only talk to the Cabots, and the Cabots only talk to God.’

In recent times, families like the Kennedys, Bushes, and even the Clintons themselves, despite scandals and the infamous reputation of Bill Clinton, have played a central role in the political scene due to their extensive networks and financial resources being available.

These families build strong political coalitions, but they can be criticized for their concentration of influence in the hands of a few individuals.

Nevertheless, despite criticisms, dynasties are an important element in American politics and influence elections and political decisions.

Trump’s Reaction

Meanwhile, on the east coast of the United States, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continues to talk about himself.

In an interview with Reuters, a New York investor said that if he wins the election, he is willing to involve Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and former owner of X.com, in an unprecedented productivity sector. Trump, in response to a direct question, said he is a very intelligent man and I will definitely do this.

Last month, Musk publicly declared his support for Trump in the presidential race and then in an interview that The New York Times called a ‘softball interview’. A softball is a miniature version of baseball in which the ball is softer and pitched from a lower point. He appeared on the show.

Musk wrote in a post referring to Trump’s statements, ‘I am ready to serve.’

Former White House resident also said he is ready to hand over a role in his future administration to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy himself has run as an independent candidate for the presidential elections. According to rumors, Robert might step aside and support the Republican leader. He is the son of Bobby Kennedy, who was killed in 1968. Robert is a symbol of the anti-vaccination movement in America and is famous for supporting various conspiracy theories, such as the global spread of COVID-19.

According to media rumors, concern is growing among the corridors of Trump Tower and Capitol Hill on the Republican side about Harris’s rise in polls and the increasing number of people following the Chicago Convention, which concluded on Friday.

Just like Joe Biden’s presence at a local college in Prince George’s County last week confirmed the support of major Democrats for Kamala Harris’s candidacy, indicating the need to present a united and cohesive party image to voters.

Similar to Biden’s endorsements, there was also a push to provide Harris with a pedigree that supports a consensus around her personality and places her in a line of continuity, albeit unreal, with the experiences of former presidents and Democratic candidates who came before her.

However, it seems that the factor of unity at the convention and Harris’s candidacy has always been the fear of Donald Trump’s success and Trump’s America for the years to come.

The name and face of the Republican presidential nominee appeared in many speeches at this convention, perhaps because despite widespread Democratic support for Kamala Harris, who could be a strong contender in the election, it also shows that the Harris-Walsh duo has been convinced that this election is like walking on a tightrope.
