The Deputy of the Cinema Organization denies the sale of the Cinema Museum in Bagh-e Ferdows.

Following reports about the possibility of the Cinema Museum property in Bagh-e Ferdows being listed for sale under the government’s asset monetization plan, the Deputy of the Cinema Organization has denied the sale of this museum.

According to ISNA, Asghar Farsi, the Deputy for Development of Management and Resources at the Cinema Organization, stated that the ownership deed for the entire area, including the Cinema Museum and the National Film Archive of Iran, is in the name of the Cinema Organization and Audiovisual Affairs. Any news or speculation regarding the sale of these two complexes is completely rejected and is not true.

Previously, the Ham-Mihan newspaper had reported on the possibility of Bagh-e Ferdows being included in the list of assets subject to the government’s asset monetization decree.

Bagh-e Ferdows, located in district one of Tehran near Tajrish Square, is the site of the Cinema Museum.
