The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to begin and resume negotiations to lift sanctions.

The Legal and International Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran says Iran is ready to begin and resume negotiations to lift sanctions.

Kazem Gharibabadi, on Tuesday, January 22, on the sidelines of the 75th anniversary ceremony of the Geneva Conventions, indirectly responded to the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency by adding that if there is a will on the other sides as well, the talks will take shape and reach a conclusion.

He also confirmed the impact of sanctions on the lives of the Iranian people and claimed that the United States has not achieved its goal in imposing the sanctions.

During his previous presidency, Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal and imposed severe sanctions against the Islamic Republic. With his victory in the recent elections and his commencement on Monday, speculations about the revival of maximum pressure against the Islamic Republic have intensified.
