Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran: We are ready to negotiate with the United States
Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, announced on Thursday that despite the distrust towards Washington following the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Tehran still believes in diplomacy.
Takht-Ravanchi told NBC that the Islamic Republic no longer intends to retaliate against the United States for its attacks on Iran’s nuclear program and is ready to negotiate with the United States.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic also emphasized that Tehran’s stance, as has been reiterated before, is that Iran has no plans to halt uranium enrichment.
In response to the question of whether further actions from Iran are forthcoming, Takht-Ravanchi said that as long as the United States does not attack us, we will not respond further.
