Deputy Minister of Health: Air pollution in Tehran has exceeded measurable limits

Alireza Raisi, the Deputy Minister of Health in the Physicians’ Government, announced in an interview with IRIB that the air pollution situation in Tehran and several other major cities has exceeded measurable limits.

The official further reminded that air pollution in Iran claims the lives of 58,000 people annually.

Many cities across Iran have been closed in recent days due to the unprecedented increase in air pollution. However, the air quality in many major cities and towns remains severely unhealthy for all age groups.
