The deputy representative of Iran’s leader in the IRGC said that 50 leaders of the popular protests were members of the Mojahedin Organization.
Hossein Tayebi Far, the deputy representative of the Supreme Leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claimed that about 50 identified leaders in the protests were members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.
The IRNA news agency, quoting the public relations of the Ansar al-Reza Corps of South Khorasan, reported that Mr. Tayebi Far said in a meeting that these individuals intended to implement the Syrian scenario in Iran.
In the past seven weeks, officials of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly attributed Iran’s protests to foreign elements, such as the intelligence services of Western countries and also members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.
Opponents say that the leaders of the Islamic Republic, by fabricating cases and attributing the protests to external factors, are trying to discredit the protests.
