Details of a video showing a woman falling from a police guidance patrol van in Gilan: the woman was not thrown, she was hanging and fell.
Following the widespread release of a video showing a woman being thrown from a police van in Sabzeh Meydan, Rasht, the deputy police chief of Gilan claimed that after a citizen’s complaint about the other party’s misuse of a recent traffic accident with the intent of extortion, the matter was put on the agenda for investigation by the patrol officers of Police Station 22 in Rasht.
The suspect in this incident, who was not in a normal state, attempted to engage in a confrontation and escape from the officers using offensive language when confronted by the police. The officers present at the scene acted to arrest her after coordination.
Given the clear violation by the arrested suspect and the existence of a private complainant, the police were obliged to arrest and transfer the suspect to the police station for further investigation, and opposition or insistence by others is not a reason for not enforcing the law.
Upon reviewing the evidence and footage from cameras at the scene of the incident, it is clear that this female citizen was hanging from the moving police vehicle’s window after it started moving, and the claim that she was thrown from the morality security patrol vehicle is completely false.
