Digikala’s Statement Following Tehran Prosecutor’s Complaint: We Will Prevent Repeated Sales of These Products

Digikala has published a statement on its website regarding the recent controversies it has faced, emphasizing that it will increase and intensify the monitoring of its products. The statement reads as follows: Digikala, expressing deep regret and apologizing to the honorable people of Iran for the presence of a particular seller’s products that have raised suspicions of disrespect to sacred values, will take all monitoring measures to remove these products and prevent the recurrence of this incident.

In the past hours, images of products from one of the active sellers on this platform have raised suspicions of disrespect to religious values. Digikala’s first action was to deactivate these products and ban the seller’s activities in an effort to resolve the misunderstandings that have arisen.

Selling products that align with the cultural and religious frameworks of the Iranian people has always been a priority for Digikala. In this regard, a team of several hundred people, assisted by artificial intelligence, is daily reviewing and monitoring the products available on the site.
