The director of the Modesty and Hijab Foundation: Lack of hijab is like a disease that decays society from within.
Dr. Tahoora Norouzi, CEO of the National Modesty and Hijab Foundation, stated that the Modesty and Hijab Bill has been approved by the Expediency Discernment Council and sent to the Guardian Council. She said the Modesty and Hijab Bill, as one of the important cultural issues and essential needs of the country today, has unfortunately been politicized by some individuals. This is while cultural discussions have nothing to do with politics and, as they say, elections.
The CEO of the National Modesty and Hijab Foundation, referring to the fact that we should not play political games with cultural issues, said that today the issue is not just about observing hijab; rather, the family and the status of women will be influenced by this modesty and chastity. The problem of lack of hijab is like a disease that gradually takes root in the depths of society and decays it from within, so delay and indecision in this area are not acceptable.
She pointed out that the implementation of the Modesty and Hijab Bill in the country is a demand of the majority of people, especially women, and emphasized the cultural and opportunity-focused perspective in the bill. She said without a doubt, the implementation of the Modesty and Hijab Bill is a public demand because the essence of this bill is the protection of the family and the preservation of the dignity of women’s status.
