Discovery of a new gold vein in South Khorasan

With the discovery of a new gold vein in South Khorasan and the final approval by the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, the confirmed reserves of the Shadan gold mine have significantly increased.

Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Republic, which has reviewed the report from the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, announced that this discovered vein contains about 795 million tons of oxidized gold ore, which is easier and cheaper to extract, and 531 million tons of sulfide gold ore.

Sadr Jahan Mining Development Company is the main operator of the Shadan mine, with 50 percent of its shares transferred to Kharazmi Investment Company.
