Disruption in the Bar Association ceremony due to the use of ties

Yazdollah Taheri-Nasab, the president of the Khuzestan Bar Association, reported a disruption in the holding of the national union of bar associations’ conference in Ahvaz due to security personnel blocking the entry of several lawyers wearing ties and cutting off the hall’s sound system.

Kaveh Rad, a lawyer, also wrote on his Instagram page that the president of the Iranian Bar Association decided to speak without a microphone and while standing.

After the establishment of the Islamic Republic, ties, which are a part of formal attire worldwide, have been treated as a symbol of what is referred to as ‘Taghut’.
