Distribution of iodine tablets among citizens around the Zaporizhzhia power plant
The President of the United States and leaders of three European countries held a virtual discussion yesterday to talk about the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine and Iran’s nuclear program. Considering the serious threats facing the Ukrainian plant, and that any explosion there could endanger a vast population in Eastern Europe, it is natural for this issue to become a priority for Western officials.
Concerns about this power plant are so significant that iodine tablets have been distributed among the citizens of the areas surrounding the plant to combat the effects of nuclear radiation.
