Donald Trump: Negotiations with Iran continue, but Tehran is not yet ready for an agreement.
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced that Washington and Tehran are still negotiating to end the conflicts, but according to him, Iran is not yet ready to reach an agreement.
On Friday, Trump told reporters at the White House, ‘We are in talks with them. I think they are taking it seriously, and they are more serious today than ever before, but that doesn’t mean we will definitely reach an agreement. We have to see what happens.’
The US President also said that he will not advance the civilian nuclear cooperation agreement with Riyadh until Saudi Arabia normalizes its relations with Israel and joins the Abraham Accords.
Last Wednesday, the United States and Saudi Arabia announced an agreement under which Riyadh can enrich uranium using American technology and build nuclear reactors. According to this report, the agreement does not include immediate UN inspections similar to what Washington has demanded for Iran.
Saudi Arabia has not yet agreed to normalize relations with Israel.
