Donald Tusk: Europe has entered a pre-war period

Donald Tusk, the former Prime Minister of Poland and former President of the European Council, says that Europe has entered a pre-war period and if Ukraine is defeated by Russia, no one on this continent can feel secure.

Mr. Tusk, referring to the Russia-Ukraine war, told European media, ‘I don’t want to scare anyone, but war is no longer a concept of the past; it is a reality that began about two years ago.’

He made these remarks as Russia has launched new missile attacks against Ukraine.

In recent days, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that it has downed 58 drones and 26 missiles fired by Russia. According to Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the recent attacks have damaged the country’s energy infrastructure in six regions in the west, center, and east of Ukraine.
