The spokesperson for the Election Headquarters: Passports will not be stamped in the July 8 elections
Mohsen Eslami, the secretary and spokesperson for the country’s Election Headquarters, stated that in this year’s presidential election, there will be no stamping of passports, and the identity verification system will determine who has voted or not.
Accordingly, in the twelfth parliamentary elections, election stamps were not placed on passports, and voters were verified with their national ID and cast their votes.
In the fourteenth presidential election, according to the law, voters can cast their votes with either a passport or a national ID card, and identity verification will be done with one of these documents.
