Election Headquarters Warns Candidates Against Caravans and Street Gatherings

The Election Headquarters warns candidates that carnivals and street gatherings are prohibited.

The spokesperson of the country’s Election Headquarters stated today, July 2, that according to the law, organizing carnivals and street gatherings is prohibited.

Mohsen Eslami has said that if they obtain a permit for this, it means that the Security Council has ensured security conditions in a space like a square, but our recommendation is that these activities take place in enclosed spaces such as stadiums and halls.

Earlier, the cancellation of the permit for the gathering of Masoud Pezeshki’s supporters at Heydarinia Stadium in Tehran sparked protests from his election headquarters, leading to a request for his supporters to engage with people in the main squares of cities in a campaign titled ‘Hazarmidan’.
