End of the hunger strike by women in Kachoui prison
The Committee for Monitoring Detainees has announced that 15 women prisoners in Kachoui prison in Karaj, who had gone on a hunger strike in protest against the poor conditions of the prison and the lack of attention to their cases, have ended their strike after seven days.
According to this report, these women also had a five-minute face-to-face meeting with their families in the presence of officials on Monday, January 19th.
The families have confirmed that despite severe weight loss, their physical condition has been good.

Armita Abbasi’s mother has also confirmed this news on her Instagram. She has thanked the head of Kachoui prison and the staff who have accompanied the families of these prisoners during this time, while also protesting against the misconduct of the 16th Fardis Police Station officers.
