Erdogan acknowledged the challenges in addressing earthquake victims
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, acknowledged during his visit to the earthquake-stricken areas that the initial response to the incident faced challenges.
Erdogan, who traveled to the Kahramanmaras region, also stated that the difficulties were due to the damage caused to airports and roads.
The Turkish government has been accused of lacking the necessary coordination and preparedness in response to Monday’s earthquake.
The number of earthquake victims in eastern Turkey and northern Syria has exceeded 11,000.
