Erdogan says I will talk with Trump about the F-35, F-16, and the Halkbank case.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, said during a meeting with Donald Trump, the President of the United States, at the White House on Thursday, I believe we will have the opportunity today to discuss in detail issues related to the F-35, F-16, and our relations with Halkbank.

Turkey’s Halkbank is under legal investigation for allegedly helping the Islamic Republic of Iran circumvent U.S. sanctions, and since 2019, this case has been one of the factors causing tension in relations between Washington and Ankara.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, described the meeting as constructive and said that sanctions against Turkey could be lifted very soon.
