Representatives of member countries at the EU summit have agreed on measures in this regard, including strengthening the protection of the union’s external borders
According to the EU summit statement in Brussels, efforts will be made to prevent unacceptable migration and human trafficking to member countries, strengthen the protection of external borders, and expedite the deportation of those who have not been granted permission to stay in these countries
The statement from this summit, which lasted from Friday, February 9th to the early hours of Saturday, did not mention anything about financing border fences in the EU’s external borders, but it was agreed to allocate budgets for border infrastructure
