The European Union will provide 150 million euros in aid to Afghanistan

The European Union has allocated 150 million euros in emergency humanitarian aid to Afghanistan this year

The EU statement mentions that 126 million euros of this financial aid will be provided to active partners within Afghanistan and also for disaster preparedness

According to this report, over 11 million euros are allocated for the needs of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and about 11 million euros for humanitarian organizations in Iran

Up to 14.5 million euros of this money is earmarked for emergency education

Eight million children and adolescents in Afghanistan need educational assistance, including 1.4 million girls who are deprived of access to secondary schools

Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Taliban government, welcomed the EU aid and told state radio that international community aid should be handed over to the Taliban government to be spent according to its priorities
