Permission for 600 people to leave Gaza has been granted.

A new and updated list of individuals permitted to exit Gaza via the Rafah crossing was published this morning.

This list includes a total of 600 names, comprising individuals who possess foreign passports or hold dual citizenship.

About four hundred of these individuals hold American citizenship.

There is also hope that severely injured Palestinians will be evacuated for medical treatment at a field hospital in Egypt.

There is speculation that as days pass, more individuals with foreign passports will be able to leave Gaza.

However, it is important to remember that more than two million people live in Gaza, most of whom are under constant bombardment during this war and cannot leave the area.

The number of people who can leave Gaza is only a very, very small fraction of the total people currently living there.
