Falahatpisheh: I hope they will once again pursue the path of reform without us
Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh was disqualified from running in the twelfth parliamentary elections
Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh, the former chairman of the National Security Commission, referred to his disqualification by the Guardian Council and said
I am glad that even in my objection, I stood by my principles. I believe that if the country had heeded my warnings in foreign policy, extremists would not have brought the country to the brink of disaster. Everything I said and spoke about was in line with the country’s interests and out of concern for the people.
Unfortunately, those warnings were not heeded, and I paid the price for it, although I hope the country will once again pursue the path of reform without us.
