Faramarz Aslani, a singer and composer, passed away.

Iranian singer Faramarz Aslani passed away at the age of 69 due to cancer.

Marjan Aslani, the wife of this famous pop music singer, wrote on her Instagram page.

On the evening of the first day of Farvardin 1403, the heartbreaking cancer took Faramarz Aslani, a poet, singer, composer, journalist, and a good human being, along with the spring breeze, bidding a permanent farewell, while his hands were in the hands of his loved ones.

A few weeks ago, Faramarz Aslani announced news of his cancer diagnosis and stated that he intended to dedicate the remaining year of 1402 to treatment and taking care of his spirits.

Mr. Aslani had written in a Persian and English Instagram post, ‘Like a traveler on this winding path, I too have touched the shadow of cancer. Therefore, I declare that I intend to dedicate the remaining of this year to treatment and taking care of my spirits. With each beat of my heart, courage finds me more, and with more thought and energy, I motivate life to take a step towards recovery.’
