Farhad Majidi: If there is no art and freedom in a society, violence takes its place.

Farhad Majidi, the former head coach of Esteghlal football team, wrote on his Instagram story in response to the protests, suppressions, and killings in Iran: ‘The managers stole religion, canceled celebrations, and looted the nation’s wealth, and this is what our situation has become. Majidi wrote: ‘If there is no art and freedom in a society, violence takes its place. For years, art, freedom, and literacy have been removed from our country.’
