Fatemeh Sepahri’s brother: My sister’s temporary detention has been extended three times

Asghar Sepahri, the brother of Fatemeh Sepahri, a political activist arrested during the recent protests in Iran, wrote on Twitter that my sister’s temporary detention order has been extended three times so far.

He says that before her arrest, due to a mass in her left hand, she had undergone surgery twice and needs physiotherapy, and according to the doctor, she should be away from psychological pressure and stress.

According to the brother of this political activist, Mrs. Sepahri needs a proper diet due to diabetes and also suffers from high blood pressure, which has led to her phone being heavily monitored and her in-person visits being canceled after the last call for a gathering in December.

These restrictions have caused her to be in Vakilabad prison’s infirmary every day due to blood pressure over 18.

Mrs. Sepahri is one of the signatories of the letter requesting the resignation of the leader of the Islamic Republic, who was arrested at her home in September.
