FIFA’s New Letter to the Football Federation
A new letter has been sent from FIFA to the Football Federation
According to this letter, federations can no longer rely on FIFA’s assistance for paying the salaries of their foreign coaches or request the payment of their foreign coaches’ salaries from their revenues held by FIFA. Previously, the Football Federation sent a letter requesting the payment of Carlos Queiroz’s salary from its claims, but FIFA announced that it will no longer do this for any national federations. This was very beneficial for the Iranian Football Federation because transferring money to the Iranian Football Federation was impossible due to the U.S. Treasury sanctions, and thus Iran used its revenues held by FIFA.
