Final report on the cause of the helicopter crash of Ebrahim Raisi

The Supreme Investigative Committee on the cause of the helicopter crash of Ebrahim Raisi announced on Monday, 11th of Shahrivar, that the complex climatic and weather conditions in the region in the spring season led to the sudden formation of a dense mass of thick and concentrated fog, causing the helicopter to collide with a mountain.

Earlier, an informed source had told Fars News Agency that the helicopter’s overweight due to the presence of two extra passengers was one of the contributing factors to the incident, but this final report does not mention references to this issue.
